MISSION
PÁG-ON (the Filipino Hiligaynon word for “to strengthen”) creates world-class sustainable sporting products and services that strengthen the environment, the youth, and local communities. In everything that we do, we partner with local communities and organizations to create a shared objective in strengthening 3 P’s – People, Planet, and Profit.
VISION
To be a world-class social enterprise in sport for development, using the power of sport to work with communities and partners in promoting environmental sustainability, increasing income and livelihood, and empowering disadvantaged youth.
OUR MODEL
PAG-ON is the Hiligaynon word for "to strengthen".
PAG-ON is social enteprise that seeks to strengthen local communities through improved livelihood , grassroots and youth sport for development, and environmental sustainability.
Our products are carefully hand-crafted local artisans out of indigenous bamboo (not engineered bamboo), thereby developing a sustainable livelihood out of eco-friendly materials as an alternative to plastic. The enterprise uses its proceeds to support local grassroots and youth sport for development organizations/programs as well as encourage, train and up-skill communities to work with bamboo and practice environmental sustainability

WORKING OPPORTUNITIES
In the Philippines, more than 12 million people live on less than $1.5 per day.
These families live with a view to survival.
The lack of financial resources does not allow them to finance the education of their children, perpetuating poverty circles.
PÁG-ON shin guards are made on the island of Panay, in the Philippines, by craftsmen in precarious situations, then trained, employed, and supported.
They receive a fair income, foregoing middle-men, and allowing them to provide their family with essential needs.
EDUCATION
We use sport as a tool to allow children to flourish in a safe environment, to get to know themselves in order to better accept each other, and build a better future together.
To maximize the impact of our actions and to reduce poverty, PAG-ON aims to support local organizations who are in the forefront of sport for development to achieve better education for marginalized youth.
ENVIRONMENT
If making a social impact is our priority, the environment is not forgotten.
While our planet is suffocating with plastic products and is heating up at the speed of Kylian M'Bappé, we can't continue to produce plastic-based products.
Our shin guards are 100% eco-designed and 100% derived from natural local bamboo. Unlike other bamboo products that use imported engineered bamboo matting/sheets, PAG-ON products are crafted from actual bamboo poles harvested from local communities. In turn, we train communities on sustainable methods on harvesting, treatement, and waste disposal of bamboo as well as upgrade their skills on working on local bamboo products in order to support the overall local bamboo industry.
